Application procedures for Public sector

 

1. Carefully read the General Info section and Applicants' section in this web page, to verify the eligibility criteria;

2. Contact the Embassy of Italy,  Cooperation Office or the Person in Charge at the Ministry of International Cooperation, to introduce the funding proposal and request, in principle, a positive consideration of the importation process, in accordance with the priorities and eligibility criteria listed in the General Info section and Applicants' section;

3. Address a formal letter to the Ministry of International Cooperation as per the downloadable sample requesting the allocation of a specific fund to the Governmental Entity (Ministry, Governorate, Authority, Hospital, University etc.). In case it is requested by the Person in Charge, download the application form and submit the request according to the templates, to the Ministry of International Cooperation and the Embassy of Italy, Cooperation Office;

4. Upon positive feedback received from the Ministry of International Cooperation, the Applicant is contacted immediately after by the Italian Expert, Embassy of Italy, Cooperation office, seeking an appointment for conformity evaluation of the overall request, preparing the Technical specifications, the Scoring system, and the Matrix to support the evaluation process, with full assistance of the Italian expert.

5. After completion of the Non standard items of the Tender Document (Technical specifications, Scoring system, and Matrix to support the evaluation process) with the support of the Cooperation office of the Embassy of Italy, these items will be inserted in the Standard documents (part A, part. B, part C, part. D, part. E, part. F) by the Italian expert.

6. The completed Tender Document (Standard and non Standard items) shall be signed for official request by the Applicant, for conformity by the Italian expert and for approval by the Person in Charge, and sent to Italy for floating by the Embassy of Italy in Cairo.
